Northstar Academy (NSA) Parents and Students:
NSA and IBOLT are pleased to partner in offering
qualified NSA High School students the opportunity to accelerate their College studies by completing
selected College courses while still in High School. If you have a desire to study
the Word of God as you complete your High School education, and prepare for your
Undergraduate studies at the same time, then this option is timely, affordable and
transferable to any
Accredited Christian Bible College in North America. Your
earned High School credits are transferable to any College or University in North
America at the entrance level.
NSA students may enroll in an IBOLT course via the NSA secure online registration service. The NSA Registrar's office will forward the registration information directly to the IBOLT Registrar's office in Canada. The student is automatically registered in the course as both an IBOLT student and as a student of Vanguard College in Edmonton Alberta, Canada. Once you successfully complete an IBOLT course, an official transcript of marks will be issued by the Registrar of Vanguard College and forwarded to the Principal of NSA. IBOLT will send all texts and learning resources to the student and International Students should allow four weeks for shipping. Students: When you graduate from High School, your Vanguard College credits will be waiting for your use towards the Bible College education of your choosing, or as a part of meeting entrance criteria for College or University. Students must earn at least seventy percent (70%) final mark to qualify for College transfer credit.

It is highly recommended that High School students be in their Senior year and be higher
than average students. If you are planning to take an IBOLT course, consider that you will do
about 5-8 hours of work per week throughout the semester.

Preparing for College by Distance Education - The IBOLT Pledge
Student Support: Our Student Services Coordinator and our teaching faculty are all
kind and caring Christian people. We want your College experience to start well and so
we are here to help you succeed. You can expect to receive replies to email queries regarding
course work within 24-36 hours. Community: Our learning community meets online in bulletin board discussion and via one-on-one teacher/student email. Our online community is different than the communications software used in NSA, but is an effective tool to get people together for discussion and exchange of ideas in learning. It's easy to learn too! Our discussion boards are class-specific and so you may view our general discussion boards once you are a student. Parents are welcome to observe class discussion. There is also is also a place for general bulletin board discussion. Familiar Friends: You will study with other students from NSA. Even though these are College courses, they are delivered to NSA students. You will be amongst friends. Excellence: You expect excellence in curriculum design and educational methods. We deliver excellent and relevant learning content designed to inform and to equip. Learning Experiences: An IBOLT course has a unique structure. Unlike many College courses, we do not save all the work to the end of the course with one giant due date for all the work in the course. Christ-Centered Instruction: We are deeply committed to an expression of Christian education that is congruent with that which you expect from NSA and is in keeping with the IBOLT Statement of Faith.
