IBOLT Success Stories:
Sometimes, it is easy to lose perspective about why an organization like IBOLT exists.  For good reason, we get excited about seeing a graduate complete a program or even students finishing their first course.  These are not the end results of why we exist and what we do, they are means to a greater end.

The best stories that we can share with you are the stories of our students an how studies through IBOLT have helped them reach a goal or prepare for ministry.

Terry Cook - Wetaskiwin, AB

Just so you know... I needed this course to be confirmed as an officer in The Salvation Army.  Now, my Divisional Commander will be able to confirm my officership before he retires this coming Wednesday.  He said it would be the "crown of his career".

Chad Fischer - Alberta

“This course “Life in the Spirit” has greatly impacted my desire for a deeper walk, knowledge and more powerful working of the Holy Spirit in and through my personal and ministry life.”

Debbie Fawcett - Alberta

I recently completed a degree through Vanguard College and IBOLT played an integral part in allowing me to do that.

I graduated from Bible college before degree programs were offered and have been involved in ministry in different forms since that time. IBOLT gave me the opportunity to complete needed courses for my education, and enriched my ministry by expanding my thoughts on Scripture and theology.

My encounters with the professors leave me with the conclusion that they are committed to a rich learning experience for the student; rich in both academic content and ministry/personal application. IBOLT has been an important part of my continuing education and I'm grateful for it.

Joe Battiston - Alberta

Joseph Battiston was the first IBOLT student to graduate from a program. He is no longer alone in this class as several others have now completed courses, but he did share some words to the graduating class of Vanguard College.  You can read them here.

Melissa Benson - Nova Scotia

Melissa was the second individual to graduate from an IBOLT program.  She completed the Post Degree BTh. in Pastoral Ministry in September of 2007.

The 2006-2007 school year was an extremely unique opportunity for me as I lived in a small Nova Scotia community with my grandparents. Far removed from the hustle and bustle of city life, I fast-tracked the remaining 13 courses of my Bachelor of Theology degree.

Just this last month, I officially graduated and am looking forward to returning to "Maritime" life as I will be starting on staff at Faith Baptist Church in Great Village, NS in January 2008. I am excited beyond words to see what more God will unfold in my life as this is truly an unexpected opportunity. He certainly works in mysterious ways!
