Distance Education Course: From the Church Fathers to the Reformation students trace events and people who shaped the way we see the church today.

Course Description: This course has been designed to give the student an overview of the key personalities, events and movements that have influenced the history of the Church of Jesus Christ from its founding to the end of the Middle Ages. Topics covered include the following: The expansion of Christianity, the development of doctrine and the struggle against heresy, the rise and decline of the Papacy, the emergence of the Holy Roman Empire, the forerunners of the Reformation and the Renaissance.

Biography: Burton K. Janes lives in Newfoundland where he is the Managing Editor of Good Tidings, the official publication of The Pentecostal Assemblies of Newfoundland & Labrador, & Archivist with the denomination. He and his wife, Sherry, live in Bay Roberts with their children, Krista & Christopher, & their border collie, Madisyn.
